Algoma University co-hosting Dec. 7 event along with PUC, Toronto Metropolitan University
A shortage of cybersecurity talent in northern Ontario will be a key point at an Algoma University workshop in December.
While there is ongoing discussion of national strategies, organizers say the lack of talent in northern Ontario creates risks for those vulnerable to cyber attacks, as well as for those employed within the organizations, their families and ultimately everyone within the region’s economy. “I'm looking forward to engaging with local industry, academic and public sector stakeholders to help define what 'the right talent' looks like, how to better leverage existing expertise and identify potential talent pipelines to support regional cybersecurity needs."
