The MUNathletics men's side split a pair of games against the Varsity Reds, while Mark English's women's squad dropped both contests in Fredericton.
Emmanuel Ring continued his excellent start to the season, scoring 32 points in the win. Through four games this season, Ring is averaging over 22 points per game, 9.8 rebounds per game and shooting 54.9 per cent from the field.Second-year guard Flynn Boardman-Raffet picked up a double-double for the Sea-Hawks when he finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. For his work, Boardman-Raffet was named the player of the game.
Short was again the top scorer for the Sea-Hawks, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Alyssa Jenkins was the next top scorer with 12 points off the bench. Heading into the third weekend of the season, the women’s team finds themselves in sixth place with two points. On Saturday, Nov. 12, the women’s team starts things off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m., while the men’s team will clash with their Dalhousie counterparts at 8:30 p.m.
