Is life chance or destiny? Exploring 'The Gift' with Ron Ulrich | SaltWireWhen Matt Tucker and Amber Coffey had their second daughter, Brynn Tucker, on Jan. 8, 2020, they never imagined what would happen just over a month later.

“We were told almost immediately that she was going to be medevaced out and they were trying to get a medevac team in ASAP,” says Tucker. “We're holding the tube up and then, as we nod off, our hands would drop. Within 10 seconds, the machine would start going crazy because all of Brynn’s vitals would start dropping and we'd wake up and stick it back in front of her face,” says Tucker.

It didn’t take Tucker long to start working on a solution. He had already secured a flight to St. John’s for himself. “She’s a very happy, healthy, energetic, four-year-old. She’s swimming, she loves dancing. She’s skating. She's just a regular, happy four-year-old kid,” says Tucker.“ said if this was another 24 to 48 hours later, we don't know if she would make it. She was in dire straits by the time she left here,” Tucker says.
