Kevin Durant plans to re-sign with the Brooklyn Nets on a four-year, $198-million extension.
The deal will begin in 2022, as Durant will decline his existing player option for the 2022-23 campaign.
Durant is two years into his tenure with the Nets, though injury prevented him from taking the floor for the team in 2019-20. Last season, though, the 11-time All-Star averaged 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game, while setting career highs in field goal percentage and three-point percentage .
