On April 13, RCMP arrested a man and a woman in Dawson Creek and placed them in holding cells as part of an ongoing investigation.
Later in the morning, first responders were called after the woman’s behaviour changed. When paramedics arrived, the woman went into medical distress and was rushed to hospital.
The woman was then airlifted to Prince George Regional Hospital for further treatment but she did not survive. The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. has since sent investigators to Dawson Creek to determine whether police action or inaction may have been linked to the woman’s [email protected]
