The International Women’s Day concert will mark the event’s 45th year and the first in-person concert held in two years. The event will take place on March 8 at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 138 and women 19 and up are encouraged to attend. Some of this year’s performers include new performers, such as the Alara Vocal Ensemble, and Yvette Rogers, who has performed at the event in the past.
“I’m expecting it to be almost like a reunion of sorts as well. It will be nice to see. I’m hoping that it’s also a way to welcome some new folks.”“It’s for an amazing cause, it’s going to be a really fun night and there’s going to be some great artists there, and I think it would make everyone feel good in the heart too,” she said.
