20-year-old Jonathan Sapirman has now been identified as the gunman in a mass shooting at an Indiana mall on Sunday.
Police identified Jonathan Sapirman as the shooter in a massacre at Greenwood Park Mall , as well as the gunman and a ‘good Samaritan’ who shot and killed him.
Sapirman, of Greenwood, entered the mall at 4.54pm and proceeded to enter a food court bathroom. He stayed in the bathroom for about an hour before leaving and shooting into the crowd. Police believe he spent the time in the bathroom assembling the Sig Sauer AR-15-style rifle he used in the attack. ‘Many more people would have died last night if not for a responsible armed citizen,’ said Greenwood police Chief James Ison.
