EA is patenting a way to generate content based on play style | VGC

EA has filed a patent for a new system that generates game content depending on a player's 'persona', or how they play the game.

Player ‘personas’ will be identified then used for ads and actual in-game contenthas filed a patent for a technique that generates in-game content based on how a player approaches a game.

Personas included in the example include ‘explorer’, ‘competitor’, ‘collector’, ‘support’, ‘combatant’, ‘tank/lead’, ‘commander’ and ‘completionist’. If these matches the player’s persona, it makes it more likely that they will like the game in question, so it will be recommended to the player.
