SYDNEY, N.S. – The impending arrival of Hurricane Lee in Atlantic Canada has forced many events to be cancelled and postponed in Cape Breton.with the subject line – Lee cancellation. This page will be updated as cancellations come in.Note: Last updated at 5 p.m. on Sept. 15.- The Glace Bay Terry Fox Run scheduled for Sunday has been moved to Sept. 24. Note: Other runs may also be affected – contact local organizers.- Port Hawkesbury Market – Rescheduled for Sunday to Sept. 24 from 10 a.m.
- Provincial Parks - Closed at 1 p.m. Friday, with other parks closing by 7 p.m. Friday for the weekend. Parks will refund existing reservations and remain closed until next week, pending damage inspections. More details are available on Nova Scotia Parks website, parks.novascotia.ca.- Quebec Major Junior Hockey League – The Cape Breton Eagles and Halifax Mooseheads pre-season game at Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.
