Southern shore of Nova Scotia to be hit the hardest

Tropical storm and hurricane Lee watch map Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023. - Allister Aalders - Allister AaldersHurricane Lee to impact Atlantic Canada this weekend | SaltWireSYDNEY, N.S. — Hurricane Lee will hit the southern shore of Nova Scotia the hardest but Cape Breton will still feel some of what will be a post-tropical storm by Saturday morning as the likely path of the approaching storm wobbled slightly eastward Thursday.

It will continue in the afternoon and Saturday night and will linger Sunday, gradually improving later Sunday and into Monday as it moves on to Newfoundland and Labrador, said SaltWire weather specialist Allister Aalders.Rainfall amounts expected as of Thursday are 10-30 millimetres for Cape Breton.Although there are no surge warnings yet, waves along the coast could reach up to six metres.
