Heavy snowfall has led to school closures in several Vancouver Island districts and disruptions to BC Transit services. Road conditions have deteriorated, prompting closures and detours. Environment Canada has rescinded warnings for Greater Victoria and parts of the island, but convective flurries are expected to continue on the east side, with highly variable snowfall accumulations.

Heavy snowfall has forced several Vancouver Island school districts to cancel classes Tuesday as the region continues to deal with hazardous winter conditions.With snowfall continuing and road conditions deteriorating, multiple school districts have announced closures. Below is a list of schools that will remain closed today due to winter weather:Sooke School District , Alberni Valley as well as Vancouver Island West and North remain open or have not yet announced closures Tuesday.
