In Happy Enough, a new podcast from The Globe and Mail, we explore what it truly means to be happy – and why it matters. Join host Garvia Bailey each week as she speaks with both experts and real people to demystify our pursuit of happiness.
From our relationship with technology to whether money can truly make you happier, we’ll take a closer look at elements that shape happiness and offer tips to implement in your own life. Launching February 18. \Garvia Bailey is an award-winning broadcaster, producer, and co-founder with over two decades of experience in Canadian media, including the CBC and JazzFM. A Jamaican-born, Stratford-raised Torontonian, she is a co-founder of Media Girlfriends, which amplifies underrepresented voices in media. Her work includes the award-winning Canadian Black history podcast series, Strong and Free/Fort et Libre, which she hosted, co-wrote, and co-produced in cooperation with Historica Canada. She is co-creator of Storytelling with a Focus on Podcasting, a Carleton University course. Garvia is also a judge for the prestigious Hillman Prize for Investigative Journalism. In 2023 she was named a 2023/2024 Massey Journalism Fellow. \Happy Enough is hosted by Garvia Bailey. It’s produced by Kyle Fulton and Emily Jackson.
