A Vancouver Island true crime podcaster hopes her new season will answer some questions of a Victoria man who disappeared three years ago.

A Vancouver Island true crime podcaster hopes her new season airing Friday will answer some questions for friends and family of a Victoria man who disappeared three years ago., 54-year-old Ian Indridson walked out of his Victoria home by the water and hasn’t been seen since.

“I wish I got to know him before he disappeared,” Palmer told CHEK News. “I find he’s really fascinating.”Palmer came across Indridson’s case after one of his friends, and his wife, Gloria, contacted her.“In this case, Gloria is still devastated three years on by what has happened with her husband, and I’m hopeful, she’s hopeful, that this series will be a help and that’s why she wanted to do it,” Palmer told CHEK News.“Many of the men were from marginalized backgrounds,” said Palmer.

“In my experience, if a case is open and unsolved the police are unwilling to speak about it – that is the case in Ian’s story.” “Not unusual to have parts of the family wanting awareness, wanting the case to get this kind of coverage, and other parts of the family that are still grieving and still grappling in some way and don’t want to talk.”In this recent season, Palmer acknowledges some of Indridson’s family and friends didn’t want to talk to her, but says she understands why.

Palmer says she’s learned at the outset to clarify her role before working with loved ones on a case.Through this experience she’s learned to be as transparent as possible, and of course reinforce those clear lines.
