'It is beautiful to see clients transform': Dylan Jerrett
Styles, like the seasons, change fast, and what's popular one year can fall out of favour by the next.
“Roots, sun-kissed looks and natural hair. The minimal look. Less is more, if you will,” Jerett said.According to Jerrett, clients choose bold colours and colour changes for many reasons. Sometimes every stylist faces a difficult job at one time or another; for example, when a client asks for a specific style or colour which may not suit them.
It’s still a struggle for an industry that is client-based and hands-on, he said, and the industry's stylists and their loyal customers were all affected. "A hair cut or colour can change so much for somebody, and it is beautiful to see clients transform. I am so grateful for our industry and the endless education to keep growing and creating art.”“Clients can be informed by proper hair colour maintenance simply by asking questions,” says Jerrett.
“Sometimes a person wants to stand out and make a statement with their hair and personal style, so a bold hair colour does this for them.”
