A food ban volunteer is being honored for her dedication to serving her community with the San Antonio Food Bank. SAN ANTONIO - We’re showcasing a volunteer who helps the food bank fulfill its mission to make sure no one goes hungry.She was retired, and restless. She asked if the food bank needed help.What she also found, she says, is a family. A family of people dedicated to helping the community.
“You look back and you see what the food bank has done for this community,” said Kathy Williams. “There're thousands of people that wouldn't still be able to make it if it hadn't been for the food bank. And still couldn't make it without the food bank.” Williams says if you have just a few dollars to spare this holiday season, please consider giving it to your neighbors who need a little extra help.
