This was a game they needed to win, and the Flames came up short. The goals are what matter, not the shots.
“Obviously a low-scoring game and we got a lot of shots on net and we didn’t capitalize and they took advantage and capitalized,” Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau told Sportsnet 960 The Fan after the game. “If you have shots and only score one goal, it means they weren’t all high-quality shots.”.
