Vancouver\u0027s Portside Greenway is a seven\u002Dkilometre route along the city\u0027s northern edge that would connect Gastown to Boundary Road.

One of the issues the greenway project hopes to address is the “greenway network gap” east of the Powell Street overpass. Currently, the greenway detours south from Powell Street and heads east, mostly along Pandora Street, until Lakewood. But staff is eyeing keeping the greenway along Powell Street, a shorter, flatter and more direct route with better access to restaurants and stores.The first phase of public engagement has just ended. Staff is expected to present concepts in a second round of public engagement later this year.
