JUST IN: Three cats, dog perish after fire breaks out at south Etobicoke building
The blaze broke out around 9:15 a.m. in the Long Branch area at an industrial building at 3445 Lake Shore Blvd. W., which is between Twenty-Ninth and Thirtieth streets, west of Brown’s Line.
According to Toronto Fire Services , a caller saw fire coming from the second floor, which appears to have a residential apartment. They said that while all humans escaped unharmed, three cats and a dog died. The animals were removed from the burning unit and taken to a vet clinic a few doors down, TFS said.Toronto Fire said there are no evacuations or closures due to this incident.
