A two-alarm fire broke out at a commercial property in Scarborough, Ontario, causing significant damage. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and are currently assessing the extent of the damage.

No injuries were reported after a fire broke out on Jan. 9 at a commercial property near Danforth and Kennedy roads in Scarborough . Large flames and heavy black smoke billowed from the commercial property that caught fire in southwest Scarborough on Thursday morning. The two-alarm fire broke out shortly before 11 a.m. at 246 Raleigh Ave., located south of Danforth Road and west of Kennedy Road.

Toronto Fire Service (TFS) said when firefighters arrived on the scene, they found an oil drum and a car on fire at the rear of the premises. They added that a lot of other combustible materials were also located there. Crews have now doused the blaze. They remain on scene and are working to gain access to assess any further damage, TFS said
