Firefighters battled a second-alarm fire in a commercial building in Mississauga Sunday morning. Crews were expected to be there into the evening. Firefighters are expected to be on scene for several hours Sunday at a significant fire in a commercial building in Mississauga near the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Crews were called about the second-alarm fire at 1787 Drew Road at around 8:45 a.m., said Mississauga Fire Service Platoon Chief Derrick Wilson.Crews will likely be on scene into the evening, he added.Mississauga firefighters battle a fire in a commercial building on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. Drew Road is closed to traffic between Tranmere Drive to Bramlea Road, Peel Regional Police said in a social media post.

Toronto Pearson Airport said via a post on X that the fire hasn't impacted its operation and flights have been departing and arriving with no issues.
