Facebook’s ambitious diversity goals are worth following. GinaChon
Social media network Facebook said on July 10 that it aims to have at least 50% of its staff be women, black, Hispanic or from other minority groups in the next five years. As part of that effort, the company wants to double the number of female employees globally and black and Hispanic workers in the United States.
In its 2019 diversity report, Facebook, said 36.9% of global staff are women while that falls to 32.6% when it comes to senior leadership. When it comes to ethnicity among U.S. staff, 44.2% are white, 43% Asian, 5.2% Hispanic and 3.8% black. Senior leadership is 65.4% white.
