NEW: Emergencies Act inquiry won’t explore ‘Freedom Convoy’ false flag conspiracy theory
The Public Order Emergency commissioner won’t be calling on witnesses to explore a theory put forward by “Freedom Convoy” lawyers that an executive of Enterprise Canada was allegedly involved in a false flag operation.
On Wednesday, Commissioner Paul Rouleau dismissed Freedom Corp.’s application to compel Enterprise Canada executive Brian Fox and freelance photographer Dave Chan to testify. Freedom Corp. is the group representing convoy organizers. Freedom Corp.’s lawyer, Brendan Miller, alleges that Fox and another person from Enterprise Canada arranged to have Confederate and Nazi flags appear at the convoy protest, which took place between late January and mid-February.
