The department indicated that the station’s owner said the computer diagnostic investigation which began last week is inconclusive.

An environmental consulting company was drilling into the ground on Sept. 8 at Mel’s Petro-Canada at the corner of Belvedere Avenue and University Avenue in Charlottetown. - Dave Stewart “It is unclear at this time when the report will be ready for review but after the drilling program is complete the timelines may become a little clearer," said the department’s statement.

Suncor Energy Products Partnership in Calgary, Alta., told SaltWire Network on Sept. 7 that initial findings indicate no gasoline seeped into the ground.
