Island author Marlene Campbell brings together a new collection of nostalgic stories that recalls Christmas celebrations of a different era, transporting readers to the bygone days of rural Prince Edward Island. There are stories of actual Islander’s Christmases — from wartime to Christmas on the farm — retold through Campbell. She will be launching Memories of Christmas at the new Summerside Interpretive Centre, 33 Summer St., on Dec. 3, 1 p.m.
