After being married for nine years, a wife asks Annie what to do after multiple circumstances that have broken her trust.
A wife asks Dear Annie for help as she struggles with her husband's lies, big and small. My husband and I have been in a relationship for nine years. In that time, we’ve had multiple circumstances that broke my trust with him.
The issue I’m having is that when he does relapse, he intentionally hides it from me, every time. Any time I have found out, I’ve confronted him and told him that I am his wife and we need to be transparent with each other, and I should be the person he goes to when he’s struggling with something. I’ve also voiced, too many times to count, that when he hides things from me, even small things, it makes me feel like I can’t trust him to be honest about the big things.
