The Hill social scene is starting to de-thaw from the winter holiday break, and Party Central once again suited up for a pair of shindigs on Jan. 23, including an impromptu pit stop to crash the only Liberal leadership reception that would let reporters inside and then over to The Met for a late-night dance party fundraiser to support the fight against Ovarian Cancer. photograph by Cynthia Münster The event was conceived by KAN Strategies’ Greg MacEachern, Gilead Sciences’ Bobby Sutherland, and RBC’s George Wamala—who lost his mother, Florence, to ovarian cancer in 2001 at the age of 52—in a booth at the Mét in 2019 following the death of MacEachern’s sister Andrea, who died of the disease the previous October.
