Prosecutors and defense attorneys concluded their closing remarks Wednesday in the murder trial of a former Franklin County deputy.
"He wasn't reckless. He wasn't. He was placed in every officer's nightmare situation and he had to respond," said defense attorney Mark Collins.Meade's attorney also said some of the witnesses the state brought to the stand were not credible.Christopher Corne was a "He’s been watching the news this whole time," said Collins. "It would be like bringing someone who has been in the courtroom this whole time to the stand. That is how desperate they are. That is the witness they chose."People don't delete things who aren't transparent. They don't delete something unless it is a problem," said Collins.
