A white trail shoe... thoughts?
More proof trail racing is gaining momentum outside the running world: London-based, 1990s-inspired skateboarding brand Palace just released a collaborative version of Salomon’s Speedcross 4. The shoe features a mesh upper with splattered patterning across the wrapped overlays in two colorways, black and white.
Designed for gripping gnarly technical terrain and sticking to the side of a trail berm like a skateboard hugs a vert ramp, Palace’s Speedcross 4 appears to have kept everything that made the original 2016 Salomon great: excellent foot lockdown and a firm but smooth ride over aggressive chevron lugs. Salomon’s Quicklace fastening system makes its trademark appearance, with long cord laces that tighten easily and tuck into a lace garage.
