ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — A microwave thrown from an overpass was the apparent cause of a crash in St. John’s Wednesday night that sent a car into a ditch.
The two people in the car, a male driver and female passenger, were not physically injured but the man was visibly shaken by the incident. Reports from the scene indicate it’s also not the first time that appliances and other items have been spotted in the area after being tossed from the overpass but this may be the first known time that it’s resulted in a crash.
