SYDNEY, N.S. — There may not be any Cape Breton-born players on Team Atlantic’s roster, but that doesn’t mean the island won’t be represented in some form.

'There was definitely a little bit of nerves': Rhyah Stewart becomes first female to ever wear Cape Breton Eagles jersey in 24-save effort against Moncton Wildcats “I think we’re excited as a group to go out to B.C. and play against high-level teams,” said Stewart, who in May committed to the NCAA’s University of Wisconsin for the 2024-25 season.

In seven games with the Islanders, Stewart is sixth in the league among netminders with a 4-2-0-0 record along with a 2.26 goals-against-average and a .926 save percentage.
