All the provincial government will say about the talks is that the Department of Municipal Affairs and Housing is in the process of negotiating a new MOU with 48 municipalities — including CBRM, according to department spokesperson Krista Higdon. “I feel they are trying to move quickly now so it’s important that CBRM takes every opportunity to engage in the process as much as we can,” she said.
