SYDNEY, N.S. — The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce has once again recognized local entrepreneurs and businesses at its 33rd annual Excellence in Business Awards gala.The winners were: Clearwater Seafoods ; The Verschuren Centre ; Haley Street Adult Services Centre ; Ankit Wadhwa ; Colbourne Auto ; Tara Forgeron Psychology and Associates Inc.; Emily Pelley ; Brian Purchase ; Cape Breton Partnership ; Cape Breton Barks ; and Lindsay Construction .

As well, the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce received nearly 20,000 votes from the public in the five award categories for the People’s Choice Awards. Those winners were: Emerald Island Gift Shop ; 7 by 7 ; Hawks Dream Field ; Mullins Rite Stop ; and Island Dog Lodge . Gordie Farmer was recognized with the Circle of Love Award for his charitable endeavour, Bottles4Kids.
