ANNS, N.S. — The Cape Breton Fiddlers Association will be commemorating its 50th anniversary with a packed schedule of workshops and concerts planned for this weekend.
“We’ve been offering Celtic cultural experiences around Cape Breton Island to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Glendale Concert of 1973 and the creation of the Fiddlers’ Association,” said Betty Matheson, association board member and step dancer, in a statement. • 2 p.m.: Fiddle, piano accompaniment and stepdance workshops, running concurrently between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed by calling 902-849-8476 or emailing— Fiddle: Beginner ; intermediate and advanced — Stepdance: Beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced
