Public Health nurses with ONA Local 31 protesting outside Belleville City Hall.
ONA Local 31 representing just over 50 registered nurses, public health nurses and registered practical nurses called on the mayor and city council to support a fair contract between the nurses and the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health unit.Bargaining unit president Josh Davidson Marcon says a final offer has been sent by the health unit.
“We wouldn’t want to sway the membership, but had the negotiating team agreed with the offer presented we would have already presented it to our members.”“That’s the only thing that’s left on the table,” Davidson Marcon says.
