"It's challenging but also fun being on the first day," Mac Neil said. "Obviously you're fresher but you don't know how the meet is going to go and how you're feeling. Danielle Dorris of Moncton, N.B., finished first in the women's 50-metre butterfly in 32.99 and Hannah Ouellette of Saskatoon was tops in the S5 classification in 58.57.
