The Canada Revenue Agency is extending some of the filing deadlines for corporations and trusts in a move to help businesses and tax preparers dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The agency says it will allow businesses to defer T2 corporation income tax returns otherwise due in June, July or August, to Sept. 1.Newsletter sign-up: Get The COVID-19 Brief sent to your inbox
CRA also says the deadlines for trust returns that would otherwise have been due in June, July or August, have also been extended to Sept. 1 with any income tax due on or after March 18 and before that date due at the beginning of September. Earlier this year, the agency extended the deadline to file individual income tax returns this year to June 1, instead of April 30.Related Stories
