A person is dead after being hit by a vehicle following a chase involving law enforcement.

The Houston Police Department said the chase involved deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office pursuing a vehicle which entered Houston.The person, who was on the side of the road in the area, was killed near the intersection of the North Freeway frontage road and West Road.made an announcement on Facebook providing more information on the situation. According to the post, the felony suspect involved in the chase is in police custody.
The post also confirms that the police chase led to the collision, although it remains unclear at this time whose vehicle physically struck the victim. The northbound lanes of the frontage road as well as the West Road exit is currently closed as police investigate the incident.This is a developing story.
