Human remains found in the Strait of Georgia between Vancouver Island and Tsawwassen were recovered by police and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) over the weekend.
According to the Outer Gulf Island RCMP, which is based on Pender Island, the CCG called police for assistance on Saturday morning after a civilian vessel spotted the body.
A CCG crew went to the location alongside the Outer Gulf Island RCMP and located the body around 10 a.m.
