Police arrested a Berea man and a Brook Park woman June 29 after finding them in possession of several Ziploc bags containing suspected illegal drugs.

BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Berea man and a Brook Park woman were arrested at about 2:30 p.m. June 29 after police found them in possession of several Ziploc bags containing suspected illegal drugs.

Someone had called police regarding suspicious people, later identified as the man and woman, at Robert and Sylvia drives. They had been sleeping in a Sylvia backyard and were walking a bicycle on Sylvia toward Robert. Police spotted the man and woman on Robert. The man jumped on the bike and rode southbound. Police ordered him to stop. He said OK but kept going. Police called for backup.

Police found the man and placed him in handcuffs. Meanwhile, the woman ran from police. They caught up with her in a Robert backyard. She tossed away a backpack she had been carrying.The Ziploc bags were in the woman’s backpack. Some of the bags contained rocklike substances, some contained crystal-like substances and some contained powder.
