Corrugator operation at Belleville's Cascades plant shuttering
More than 30 employees have just a few weeks left on the job in Belleville.
Cascades has announced that before December 2, it will eliminate 31 positions at its industrial park location. Cascades Containerboard Packaging President Charles Malo says they will be permanently shutting down the corrugator at their site in Belleville.The company says they will be offering those affected an option to transfer elsewhere in the company.In the Quinte region, Cascades currently has about 240 employees between the Belleville and Trenton locations.
