UPDATE: More sailings between Victoria and Vancouver are at risk of cancellation Monday.
Two BC Ferries sailings between Victoria and Vancouver were cancelled on Monday due to a mechanical issue onboard the Coastal Celebration vessel, and more are at risk of cancellation.
The 10 a.m. sailing departing from Swartz Bay and the noon sailing departing from Tsawwassen were cancelled Monday because of a problem with the Coastal Celebration’s propulsion system, according to BC Ferries. While crews are investigating the issue, BC Ferries says other sailings aboard the Coastal Celebration may be cancelled Monday.2 p.m. departing Swartz BayOther sailings along this route are still expected to depart as scheduled Monday, according to BC Ferries“We are working to fix this and will keep you informed as more information becomes available. As soon as the problem is resolved, the vessel will resume service,” said BC Ferries.
