Two BC Ferries sailings between Victoria and Vancouver were cancelled on Monday due to a mechanical issue onboard the Coastal Celebration vessel.
The 10 a.m. sailing departing from Swartz Bay and the noon sailing departing from Tsawwassen were cancelled Monday because of a problem with the Coastal Celebration’s propulsion system, according to BC Ferries., BC Ferries said it expected other sailings aboard the Coastal Celebration to depart as usual Monday.
“We are working to resolve the issue and will keep you informed as more information becomes available,” reads the service notice. “Reserved customers and customers already checked in at the terminal will be accommodated on the next available sailing.”
