Blackpool Banksy rumours put to bed as Manchester-based artist takes credit for mural that popped up on terraced house
A piece of art work found on a terraced house in Blackpool last week caused quite the stir due to its distinctive style.
Mr Eggs, a street artist from Manchester, has now confirmed he is behind the painting on Milbourne Street and explains the boy floating on a bright yellow umbrella shows "the plight of the kids in the area that have seemingly been left to the wind."Like Banksy, Mr Eggs gives no clues as to who is is and how he managed to get the mural up without being spotted. The artist has works that have been spotted across the North West including a boy with a yellow kite in Stockport.
"So this leads to them hanging around the street, doing drink and drugs and pushes the area further down and it’s the kids who suffer in the end. Thus children in the area being left to the wind."
