B.C. has 60 school districts with thousands of employees. Among the 25 highest- paid workers — all superintendents, deputy superintendents or secretary-treasurers — seven are women.Of the top 50 wage earners at the province’s universities and colleges, only nine were women. This disparity is largely caused by the University of B.C., which employs 47 of those top 50 earners — including UBC’s head of investment banking, its president, and its deans of medicine and business.
