FREDERICTON, N.B. — The Atlantic Police Academy and the Fredericton Police Force are partnering on an initiative to train a dozen officers in the riverside New Brunswick capital in 2025.
Fredericton officers and APA instructors will teach successful applicants to the police science program in a 32-week course — 20 weeks of instruction and 12 weeks of on-the-job training — at the end of which students will join the force for a one-year probation period followed by a two-year commitment to service with the force.P.E.I. renews partnership with Atlantic Police Academy
“While we are addressing the need to expand our force to accommodate for a growing city, we are also increasing access to education right here in Fredericton,” Gaudet stated. “We are excited to welcome a new generation of cadets who will bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the force.” Applications are being accepted until June 14.
