There is unrest among our Pop Princesses. Have Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift got ‘Bad Blood’? Some fans seem to think so.
Rumours of a feud surrounding the two Grammy-winning artists have been circling since March, when Eilish gave an interview that some Swifties took to be a jab at Swift. While Eilish was quick to clarify that this was not the case, another recent set of comments—paired with a professional battle following the releases of their respective new albums—has reignited whispers that things may be awry between the pair.
Some fans interpreted this as a shot at Swift, who is known for releasing multiple vinyl variants of her albums. “I wasn’t singling anyone out, these are industry-wide systemic issues. & when it comes to variants, so many artists release them – including ME! which i clearly state in the article. The climate crisis is now and it’s about all of us being part of the problem and trying to do better sheesh.”
While Swift certainly didn’t invent long concerts—and isn’t even the only modern pop star to perform them —some Swifties took this as a hit at the star, who is currently embarking on her three hour and 15 minute-long Eras Tour.
