The French and English-language debates will be held in Montreal
Green Party of Canada co-leader Jonathan Pedneault, Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet, Liberal Leader and Prime Minister Mark Carney, New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh and Conservative Party of Canada Leader Pierre Poilievre.
The party must have at least 4-per-cent national support, as measured by what the commission calls leading national public-opinion polling organizations. And 28 days before the start of the election, the party must have endorsed candidates in at least 90 per cent of ridings. In the 2021 election campaign, the participants were then Liberal leader Justin Trudeau, then Conservative leader Erin O’Toole, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet and Annamie Paul, thenMark Carney on Sunday called a snap election for April 28, saying he needed a strong mandate to deal with the threat posed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
