Akron city officials will be holding a press conference Tuesday to discuss public safety nearly two months following last month’s fatal mass shooting.

According to a press advisory, the city will discuss guidance in hosting safe public gatherings, lateral hires for the Akron Police Department and an update on the city’s gun violence response fund.The victims were shot at a large birthday party just after midnight in the area of Kelly and 8th Avenues.
