The African Caribbean Canadian Association of Northern Ontario (ACCANO) invites you to their annual Black History Month Dinner on February 22nd to celebrate the resilience, achievements, and enduring contributions of Black Canadians. The event will feature cultural experiences and support ACCANO's Scholarship Funds at Algoma University and Sault College, empowering Black students and fostering educational opportunities.

The African Caribbean Canadian Association of Northern Ontario is inviting you to an inspiring evening of culture, history, and unity that will celebrate Black History Month.

Across Canada, February is a time to honour the resilience, achievements, and enduring contributions of Black Canadians—past, present, and future, the group said in a news release. Join ACCANO for the annual Black History Month Dinner on Feb. 22, at 5 p.m. at The Grand Gardens North . This highly anticipated event will be an evening of rich cultural experiences, featuring:

This year’s theme, “Black Excellence: Celebrating Our Collective Strength,” highlights the legacy, resilience, and achievements of Black Canadians while fostering unity and inspiration for future generations, the release said. Supporting Education & Empowerment Proceeds from this event will directly support ACCANO’s Scholarship Funds at Algoma University and Sault College, reinforcing their commitment to empowering Black students and fostering educational opportunities.Founded in 2011, ACCANO is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness of African and Caribbean cultures while fostering unity in our community.
