A dozen Vancouver Island-based breweries have something to cheer about after being recognized at this year's Canada Beer Cup.
In total, Island breweries won 17 times, including gold, silver or bronze medals, at this year’s event, which took place on Friday, Oct. 18, in New Westminster.
Victoria’s Whistle Buoy Brewing Co., meanwhile, got silver and gold for its contemporary sour ales and specialty wild or mixed fermentation, respectively.earlier Sunday. “We were honoured to accept the gold in the contemporary sour ale category for Fuzzy Peach Sour.”
